Marutomo Co. Ltd was founded in 1989. We are a wholesale dealer, dealing mainly in dried shiitake mushroom. About 3000 tons of Japanese wood planting Shiitake mushrooms are produced per year. About half of this is produced in Oita prefecture, it is the home of Dried shiitake mushroom production.Since my company is located in Oita prefecture it is possible to stock large quantity of Dried shiitake mushrooms every week and we are able to keep the purchase cost low. In addition we have our own factory and warehouse which is the largest in the industry with over 4000 meter square in total. Our warehouse constantly stocks about 100 tons of Dried shiitake mushrooms.We are a member of the Oita prefecture dried shiitake mushroom Traceability Association. We have been recognised as producing genuine Dried shiitake mushrooms after receiving a strict audit by a third party organization. As proof of this, we put a traceability sticker on the pouch of our products.Our main domestic sales channel are school lunches, but our sticker is gaining popularity with nutritionists who see it as a sigh of safety. It is one of the reasons our mushrooms are used for school lunches all across the country.As mentioned above we are dealing with traditional foods but compared with other companies in the same industry our staff are young and hardworking. In the unlikely event that a problem accurs from the customer, it will be dealt with quickly and efficiently.We hope to meet all the needs of overseas customers through Japanese ingredients.
